Cincinnati can still be caught even if they win, because a victorious Oklahoma State’s resume will be awesome, with two wins over 10–3 Baylor and one over 10–2 Oklahoma. An Alabama loss eliminates them, and rightly so, unless Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, and Michigan all lose. In that case, it might end up Georgia, Notre Dame, Alabama … and Baylor. Ohio State can’t get in so soon after having been shellacked by Michigan. Iowa is too far away to make a run to the playoff, but they could pass both Michigan and Ohio State to finish sixth or even fifth. Frankly, what I’d love to see is this: Georgia whips Alabama, Cincinnati defeats Houston handily, Michigan handles Iowa, and Baylor edges Oklahoma State in a sloppy, unremarkable game.
