If “biological males” is a dog-whistle phrase for transgender women – which is something that I’ve unfortunately come to expect, considering how attitudes tend to be these days – then it’s important to realize that most transgender women are on levels of anti-androgens (i.e. testosterone blockers) and estrogen that put their hormone balance right where a cis (i.e. natal) woman’s levels would be. This also reduces muscle mass pretty readily; past exposure to testosterone is a moot point because the testosterone is required to maintain muscle mass, so the extra muscle mass disappears when the hormone levels no longer exist to maintain it. There is no hormone-based competitive advantage for transgender women at that point. Suggesting otherwise is counterfactual and, yes, pretty discriminatory.
If you legitimately mean men and other people whose testosterone balance is significantly higher than cis women… I have a hard time coming up with an objection to that, and meanwhile could think of several reasons why that’s completely reasonable. Since testosterone does in fact confer an advantage related to muscle development, and since men tend to be societally favored on other levels anyway, setting up competitive environments open only to women seems like a case of preventing societal marginalization from spilling over into the Spider slayers shirt Furthermore, I will do this competition, not a case of discrimination.
