I go hiking and hunting, just a few miles behind our house. Yes, world class skiing like Colorado (albeit, Colorado has better snow due to the dry air) We go shopping in Battle Ground, WA. We go out to different restaurants in Vancouver, WA. Sometimes we drive in to Portland on a date and feel like we’re young and without kids. If we need to buy a new TV, we go to Costco by PDX and don’t have to pay sales tax. Afterall, we live on the state border. But….the rain. Actually, not so much the rain as the constant overcast. Did anyone tell you that there are 8 months of constant overcast and rain between October and April. It is brutal. Colorado has 300 days of sunshine. I miss the sun.
