Biden isn’t bringing Trump to justice. The Justice Department, and two State AGs are. Something like five grand juries — composed of ordinary citizens — have recommended bringing indictments against Trump. Biden has nothing to do with it. Biden may have an opinion about all this, but he is wisely keeping it to himself. Biden will perhaps be remembered as the president who guided us through, and (hopefully) out of, the dumpster-fire mess his predecessor left behind. An indictment and a mug shot are good enough for most people, but then again, his performance during his one term should have been an indicator that he was not up to the job. Trump is being brought to justice because of his questionable actions and by grand juries of his peers who felt there is enough evidence to bring him to trial. Joe Bide had NOTHING to do with it. I take exception to the wording of the question when it says “Biden Justice Department.” Try to forget the past 4 years for just a moment, and go back to the time when presidential administrations kept hands off of the Department of Justice. While the attorney general is appointed by the president, he should not be beholden to the President. I’m old enough to remember how Nixon tried to assert control, and the lessons learned though that sorry episode. I think they should if there’s evidence of a crime because the rule of law matters. A president needs to know that he’s accountable under the law for what he does in office. There are several parts to this question – some of which are accurate, other parts are deceptive. Starting with the inaccurate part: “will Biden go down in history as the president who brought Trump to justice & saved America?” I cannot speak to “saving America” – historians like to take 20 or more years to accurately assess a President’s accomplishments. Of course, that has a lot to do with how one defines “saving America” – saving it from what?
