Get an internship at a company that is affiliated with Milan Fashion Week (easier said than done). If you have a background in fashion or fashion journalism, a lot of designers and publications hire unpaid fashion week interns to help at shows, work backstage, get coffee, set up logistics, etc. I went to fashion school in NYC, and spent every fashion week doing unpaid internships to gain exposure to the Knicks 22-23 playoff participant shirt and I love this industry. If you have a lot of money, sometimes you can purchase tickets to shows through charity auction sites, American Express, or just dress up like a walking editorial (important to secure “it” pieces for the season – aka street style bait) and hope someone thinks you’re cool enough to get in.
