The population of Polar Bears is now so high it is a genuine threat to the humans in the Arctic. In Canada and even on the islands north of England and in Russia this is true. NO the bears are not at threat from sea ice changes because of 2 reasons. There is no shortage of sea ice and the ice is not useful to the bears. Bears hunt seals and the only reason the bears get out on the ice is that their prey has gone out on the ice. Ice actually makes life harder for the bears to catch food. Ice is used by seals to hide from the bears. It is entirely a lie that ice is of benefit to polar bears. Polar bears are well able to swim and have been radio callar measured to swim non stop 850 miles (1,367 km) without stop. This means a polar bear is well able to swim literally anywhere in the arctic and bears are well able to catch seals underwater and that is in fact their primary place for catching seals. The stories about Polar Bears being under threat is a lie by the environmentalists.
