Babies do not have a concept of religion..so they can not be Christian atheists or any other religion. I am an atheist who married a devoted Christian. I routinely go to church with my wife, not to worship, but to enjoy the company of wonderful people. I am not hypocritical, the church knows of my believes and they welcome me with open arms, nobody is offended by my presence, and I often learn valuable life lessons. I have developed good friendship with all the pasters and their families. There is no execuse why you cant have basic civility and etiquette around people who have different believes. And if a religion or church refuses to be civil with non-believers, there’s something wrong with it.
Atheism is more like having a preference for not eating arsenic. It’s just something you don’t do – eat arsenic or believe in gods. Theism is more like cocaine addiction due to having had a cocaine addicted mother when you were born – it’s an addiction given to you by your parents. Children who have never heard of gods don’t usually develop beliefs in gods. I wouldn’t have a problem with an atheist attending my church’s free lunch. If an atheist decided to speak his mind entirely and try to enforce his ideals on everyone there, it’d also be a good test of my faith and patience, and later on if I lose my composure, a good reminder of why I need salvation by Jesus Christ.
