Sophie cannot smell a rose or feel love or hatred. Sophie’s facial expressions are synthetic. You really do not know for sure but there is a deep intuitive feeling of “I” that is elusive and invisible but nevertheless unmistakable and intimate. “I” does not appear to have any objective qualities but it is self-luminous and self-evident. It is nameless, formless, dimensionless, non-local and non-temporal. “I” is as if screaming out loud and clear “I am not inert! I am qualitatively different from what I see around me. I am not an object and I have no form or location anywhere inside or outside the body”.
